Many of us understand that we’re saved by our faith in Christ. As we read through scripture, the picture becomes quite clear that we’re not saved by good works, or by the “works of the Law”. But we need to assess our life to see where that tendency or temptation to “earn” our salvation might be creeping in. We need to understand more completely that our salvation is found in Christ alone – by way of God’s gift of grace to us, and through our faith in what His Son, Jesus, did for us on the cross. Our desire to do good should flow out of our genuine faith in Christ Jesus.
